All fish must be caught from either the kayak (self-propelled water craft) or wade fishing (provided the kayak is tethered tothe angler).

If I was wade fishing and walked up onto land, or was just standing on land while still tethered to my kayak is that still considered wading for the intents and purposes of the event?

Well, if your feet ain't in the water you ain't wading. I had to laugh with a mental image of a guy dragging a kayak through the bushes to get to a "secret spot".

Like, crossing a sandbar would be cool I suppose, but if you are STANDING on land and fishing, that isn't wading. So I guess for the purpose of clarity I'd say if your line is in the water, make sure your feet are too.

Reason I ask is here in the endless maze of LA marshes sometimes we just drag over a reef or grass bed when trying to get to the other side may take you a mile out of the way. I guess if I did so I would legally have to get back into the kayak or water before making a cast. Just wanted to check. thanks.
