The IFA has made the call to postpone the Fernandina Beach Kayak Fishing event until further notice, due to the National Weather Service warning about high winds and dangerous boating conditions.

As always, we insist on safety for all our anglers, and certainly hope that this postponement does not create undue hardship for the anglers.

IrishWaterDogs annual kayak tourney and Flounder Pounder (boat)Tournament held in Jacksonville are on October 21/22...

I would be good with keeping the original IFA tourney date this weekend :)

As it turned out we made the safe call there, with winds reported as high as 40+. We have been made aware of schedule conflicts and at the present time (Sunday am very early) a firm date to reschedule the event has not been confirmed.

I don't understand why it is taking so long to reschedule or cancel the Fernandina tourney. May we please have an update and at least tell us what dates are being considered?
